Students learn how to manage illness type emergencies (Heart Attack\, Stroke\, Diabetic Emergencies\, etc.) and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. \nWe offer courses through the American Heart Association\, The American Red Cross and EMS Safety Services. SUMMARY:Babysitting 101!
DESCRIPTION:Babysitting 101! Focusing on safety\, professionalism and reliability our program will prepare your children to become the most capable\, trusted and in-demand sitters in your neighborhood.   Babysitting specific topics such as basic child care\, choosing age appropriate activities\, bottle and spoon feeding\, bathing and napping\, child behavior and discipline\, diapering and the business of babysitting.  Students will learn Adult\, Child and Infant CPR.  ** Separate CPR Certification card is not included \nStudents must bring a mask to class.  It will not be worn through the entirety of class\, but must be work in common areas of our building (hallways and restrooms)  Please dress in layers\, as there is alot on movement in this class and the temperature is bound to fluctuate.  Please bring a water bottle\, a snack or two and a sack lunch. \n*Because of class space\, only paid participants may attend.   Ages 10 up to the age of 16 may attend this class. \nCourse cost includes CABS manual and certification card.  There are no additional costs or fees.

SUMMARY:American Heart BLS - Healthcare Providers
DESCRIPTION:Course Description \nThe American Heart Association BLS Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize life-threatening emergencies\, provide 1 and 2 rescuer CPR\, use an AED\, and relieve choking in a safe\, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or non-certified\, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.  This is a one-time course.  All passing participants will receive a two year certification from the American Heart Association within 3-7 days. \n\nIntended Audience\n \nHealthcare providers such as physicians\, nurses\, dentists and support staff\, paramedics\, emergency medical technicians\, respiratory therapists\, physical and occupational therapists\, physician’s assistants\, residents or fellows\,  or medical or nursing students in training\, aides\, medical or nursing assistants\, sick\, not feeling well\, have a cough\, a temperature or any symptoms of illness will not be allowed to join any class.  Please do not come to class if you have had possible exposure or are feeling ill.  Students who exhibit any signs of illness at class will be asked to leave and will not receive a refund.   A one time credit will be issued to individuals that need to reschedule due to illness if advance notice is given in writing via email at advantagecpr@att.net. \nPLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: \n1:   No mask required\, but if you would like to wear a mask\, please do.  We want all participants to feel comfortable. \n2.  Bring a pen\, as you will need a pen during testing. \n3.  No outside food can be brought in to our classroom.
