DESCRIPTION:Course Description \nThe American Heart Association BLS Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize life-threatening emergencies\, provide 1 and 2 rescuer CPR\, use an AED\, and relieve choking in a safe\, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or non-certified\, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.  This is a one-time course.  All passing participants will receive a two year certification from the American Heart Association within 1day. \n\nIntended Audience\n \nHealthcare providers such as physicians\, nurses\, dentists and support staff\, paramedics\, emergency medical technicians\, respiratory therapists\, physical and occupational therapists\, physician’s assistants\, residents or fellows\, or medical or nursing students in training (TMCC\, WNCC\, UNR)\, aides\, medical or nursing assistants. \n  \nPLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: \n1.  Bring a pen. \n2.  No outside food can be brought in to our classroom.
